On 7th and 8th February 2024, the first international meeting of the Erasmus+ project C.L.A.I.M. – Artificial Intelligence for Competences and Learning was held in Athens at the Hellenic American Union. The meeting brought together partners from across Europe to kick off this exciting initiative aimed at supporting SMEs in managing training needs with the help of artificial intelligence. The first international meeting of the Erasmus+ project “C.L.A.I.M. – Artificial Intelligence for Competences and Learning” took place on 7th and 8th February 2024 in Athens, hosted by the Hellenic American Union. During this meeting, partners from across Europe came together to discuss the project’s objectives, which focus on supporting SMEs in managing training needs using artificial intelligence. The meeting included presentations by each partner, outlining their expertise and roles within the project. The discussion emphasized the development of a competence-based model aimed at identifying and enhancing skills in digital, green, and entrepreneurial areas to help SMEs address evolving industry requirements. Plans for workshops and training events were also shared, including an international mobility event at the University of Naples, which will provide HR representatives and training analysts with skills to use AI tools effectively.
Key tools and platforms, such as the TaiLENT platform, were introduced, showcasing AI-powered solutions for skill assessments, gap analysis, and learning recommendations. The platform includes innovative features like self-assessments, conversational avatars, and tools for analyzing data collected through tailored algorithms. Partners also discussed incorporating soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and project management into the assessments while ensuring the tools remain user-friendly for SMEs. Dissemination strategies were outlined, including a project website, newsletters, events, and a final conference organized by the University of Naples. The meeting concluded with partners agreeing on the next steps, which include finalizing assessment tools, mapping learning resources, and preparing for workshops to present the CLAIM model to HR professionals. This meeting set a collaborative tone for the project’s progress, focusing on equipping SMEs with the tools they need to address modern skill demands.
In addition to the intensive working sessions, the meeting also included moments of relaxation, such as the social dinner, which provided an opportunity for participants to get to know each other better and strengthen connections in an informal atmosphere.

The second transnational meeting for the C.L.A.I.M. (Artificial Intelligence for Competences and Learning) Project was successfully held on 13th September 2024. Representatives from all partner organizations participated in the meeting to discuss progress, share updates, and plan future activities.
Highlights
CLAIM Model Design
The session began with updates on the validation workshops conducted by the partners. Discussions focused on findings and the draft final report by the Hellenic American Union (HAU). Also, partners reviewed the mapping template for educational materials on digital, green, and international business development skills. This task will populate the recommendation system for the Tailent Platform.
Partners also discussed the outputs to be developed, including:
- 4 Microlearning Pills: Suggested topics included technological innovation in HR processes, recruitment, onboarding, upskilling, and redeployment.
- 4 Video Tutorials: These were already developed in the early stages and reviewed during the session.
- 2 Interactive Scenarios:
- Scenario 1: Goal orientation, time management, and project management.
- Scenario 2: Negotiation, communication, and collaboration.
The partners brainstormed ideas for the scenarios, including potential characters and settings. All OERs (Open Educational Resources) will be subtitled in 7 languages.
